Pawpon is made by one person, so you will hear back from the person who wrote the code. Replies usually take a day or two.
Best for purchases and anything private DiscordBug reports, ideas, news
and other keepers
When reporting a problem, it helps a lot to include your phone model, your Android version (Settings, then About phone), the game version (shown in the corner of the title screen) and what you were doing when it happened. A screenshot or screen recording is worth a thousand words.
Playing the game
Is Pawpon free?
Yes. You can play the whole game and collect all 36 cats in the machines without paying. The six Afterglow companions live in the Afterglow cabinet, which the optional Nightlight Pass opens for free. Packs of Star Gems, Moon Dust and Whisper Coins are also on sale, but random pulls are only ever paid with tokens you earn by playing.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes, to start the game. From version 1.1.1 Pawpon signs you in and saves your game to the cloud, so it needs Wi-Fi or mobile data when it opens. If you lose the connection while playing, your game keeps saving on the phone and catches up with the cloud when you reconnect.
Which phones can run Pawpon?
Android 7.0 or newer with OpenGL ES 3.0 graphics, which covers nearly every phone made in the last several years. Pawpon is tested on modest, older hardware as well as newer phones.
How do I get tokens?
Finish jobs during your shift to earn Moon Credits, then turn credits into tokens at the token terminal in the shop. You also get a free pull once a day, tokens for finishing sets, and sometimes a token from a lucky jackpot. Tokens are never sold.
The claw dropped my capsule. Did I lose my pull?
No. A dropped capsule never costs anything. Try again for free: the chance of another slip halves each time, and the third try always lands. The cat inside was already decided and does not change.
Where can I see the odds?
Every cabinet in the game has an odds sheet you can open before pulling, worked out for your current pity progress. The starting odds for every cabinet, the pity ladder and everything else that affects a pull are on our odds page.
What happens to duplicate cats?
A duplicate turns into Moon Dust, which you can spend to rescue a specific cat you are still missing. The Wonder Exchange cabinet holds every regular cat, so it is a good place to pull when one set is nearly done.
How do I start over?
Open Settings, then Account, then Reset player data. This permanently clears your collection, currencies and progress, so be sure. It does not refund purchases, and the Nightlight Pass can be restored afterwards.
Purchases and refunds
I bought something and it did not arrive.
First, make sure you are online, close the game completely and open it again; purchases that were interrupted are usually delivered on the next start. If it still has not arrived, open Settings, then Account, and tap Restore purchases. If that does not fix it, email us with your Google Play order number (it starts with GPA. and is in Google's receipt email) and we will sort it out.
How do I restore the Nightlight Pass on a new phone?
Sign in to the new phone with the same Google account you bought it with, install Pawpon, then go to Settings, then Account, and tap Restore purchases (the same button is in your wallet in the shop). The Pass comes back with the Afterglow cabinet and its bedroom and shop looks. The companions you have already pulled, and its one-time gift of gems, dust and coins, are part of your save, like a pack.
Can I get a refund?
Within 48 hours of buying, you can usually request a refund yourself from your Google Play order history. After that, email us with your order number and tell us what happened, and we will help where we fairly can. Google's rules are on its refund policy page. Refunded items may be removed from your game.
How do I stop a child from buying things?
In the Google Play Store app, open your profile, then Settings, then Authentication, and require authentication for all purchases. For more control, Google Family Link lets you approve every purchase.
I have a redeem code. Where do I enter it?
In the shop, open your wallet and find the Have a code? box under Restore purchases. Type the code and tap Redeem, and the reward is added straight away. Capitals, spaces and dashes do not matter. Each code works once, and some codes expire, so check the date where you found it.
Do packs of gems, dust or coins come back if I reinstall?
Currency packs are used up when they are delivered, so they become part of your save file rather than something Google Play can restore. If your save comes back through Android backup, so do they. If you have lost a purchase because of a problem on our side, email us and we will look at it.
Your progress
Is my progress saved online?
Yes, from version 1.1.1. Your game is saved on your phone and, a few moments later, to your Pawpon account in the cloud. Settings, then Account shows when it last saved. A guest account's game can only come back on the same phone, so bind an email (Settings, then Account) to keep it safe.
Why did my game start again in version 1.1.1?
Version 1.1.1 added accounts and cloud saves, and every keeper started a new shop with it. Everything you had bought was paid back into your new wallet, and the Nightlight Pass stayed yours. If you redeemed a code before, you can enter it once more.
I got a new phone. How do I move my progress?
Install Pawpon on the new phone and sign in the way you did on the old one: with the same email address, or with Play Games. Your game comes down from the cloud. If both phones have progress, Pawpon shows you both and asks which to keep. Guests cannot move a game to another phone, so bind an email on the old phone first (Settings, then Account, then Bind an email).
The game says I need to update.
Sometimes an older version has a problem serious enough that it should not be played. When that happens, the game shows a notice with a button that opens Pawpon on Google Play. Update there and your progress carries straight on.
Performance and battery
The game feels slow or my phone gets warm.
Open Settings, then Display, and set Quality to Low or Medium. Turning off Glow helps on older phones too. Closing other apps and letting the phone cool down also makes a difference. If it is still struggling, tell us your phone model so we can look at it.
The first launch took a long time.
On its first run the game prepares its graphics for your particular phone, which can take a while on some devices. Later launches are much faster, because your phone remembers the work.
Privacy and data
What does Pawpon collect?
Very little. Your Pawpon account holds an account ID, your email address if you chose to sign in with one, and a copy of your game, kept with Google Firebase. Purchases, Play Games sign-in and optional ads involve Google and RevenueCat, and our privacy policy explains exactly what each one receives. You can delete your account in the game at any time (Settings, then Account).
How do I delete my data?
See Delete your data. You can clear your game yourself in seconds, and ask us by email to delete the purchase records we hold.
Do I need a Google Play Games account?
No. Play Games is one way to sign in, with one tap. You can also sign in with an email address or play as a guest.
